{"id":1193,"date":"2021-09-23T00:28:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T00:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/share.242studio.com\/povlacenje-nacrta-korak-ka-moratorijumu-na-biometrijski-nadzor\/"},"modified":"2025-02-02T13:55:22","modified_gmt":"2025-02-02T13:55:22","slug":"draft-withdrawal-a-step-towards-moratorium-on-biometric-surveillance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/share.242studio.com\/en\/draft-withdrawal-a-step-towards-moratorium-on-biometric-surveillance\/","title":{"rendered":"Draft withdrawal a step towards moratorium on biometric surveillance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an organisation dedicated to digital rights and freedoms,&nbsp;<strong>fighting against the use of mass biometric surveillance<\/strong>, we welcome the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rs.n1info.com\/vesti\/vulin-na-molbu-vucica-povucen-nacrt-zakona-o-unutrasnjim-poslovima\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">decision of the Serbian Minister of Interior<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>withdraw the controversial Draft Law on Internal Affairs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We call on the authorities to take another step and&nbsp;<strong>impose a moratorium on the use of advanced technologies for biometric surveillance and mass processing of citizens\u2019 biometric data<\/strong>.
